Acupuncture Specialists
Acupuncture has become an integral part in the rapid growth of complementary therapy in the UK with an ever-increasing number of people seeking acupuncture treatment.
There are two main types of acupuncture; that which is based on an holistic approach to health, based on over 2000 years of development, predominantly in the far east, and a more recent Western-style acupuncture or Medical Acupuncture which is more commonly practised by doctors or physiotherapists using a more treatment- or symptom-specific method based on a western medical diagnosis.
A qualified acupuncturist should be able to make a diagnosis not only from visible symptoms, but also from the general disharmony occurring in the patient. As each patient may exhibit unique symptoms, the acupuncture practitioner will accordingly develop or unique treatment protocol.
Although acupuncture is often thought of as a method of pain relief, it is more often used to treat a wide range of illnesses and concentrates instead on improving overall wellbeing.
More specific forms of acupuncture exist where Practitioners specialise or concentrate in just a single area such as acupuncture for weight loss, acupuncture for help to stop, acupuncture for facial rejuvenation or non-surgical facelift as it is sometimes called or acupuncture specifically for fertility treatment.
Please note that all acupuncture Practitioners at The Summit are members of at least one Professional Body that has been approved by the London Borough of Camden.
