EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques
EFT is based on the principles of acupuncture; it is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body’s energy system, without the use of needles and fall sunder the umbrella of ‘Energy Psychology’.
The founder of EFT is Gary Craig (a Stanford engineer) who had initially trained in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and TFT (Thought Field Therapy).
EFT incorporates an emotional element to the healing process by addressing unresolved issues as likely causes of physical disease, psychological dysfunction or personal performance limits.
How Does EFT work?
Our bodies are composed of different energy centres (chakras) and pathways (meridians) that interact with our organs, hormones, cells, emotions and health. By tapping and talking at the same time, changes are made in these energy channels which results in positive changes in our body. Tapping stimulates the emotional part of the brain talking activates the logical part of the brain so that they communicate and work together which gives better results than just using one part of the brain to resolve issues.
