Acupressure treatment involves applying pressure to the body to affect the flow of energy (Qi, Chi or Ki) by unblocking congested energy centres in the body.
Acupressure is believed to be the forerunner of Acupuncture as it predates the use of needles to stimulate the flow of Qi. It applies the same principles as Acupuncture, but instead of using needles, pressure is applied directly to 'acupoints' on the body, usually using the hands or fingers.
